I completed my PhD with Profs. Louise Barrett and Peter Henzi at the University of Lethbridge in July 2021 studying social learning in wild vervet monkeys living in South Africa. I have trained as a biologist interested in ethology, behavior analyst studying behavioral economics, and, finally, as a behavior ecologist studying the role of the social environment in learning. My interests are broad—in both model organisms and behavioral paradigms—but specific to applying a behavior analytic account to social behavior in order to understand what proximate mechanisms are available to individuals and how these mechanisms have been selected and shaped by evolution.
